Description
AH226112 is a slip clutch for the auger drive of the header for John Deere grain harvesters. It is mounted in the auger drive mechanism of the header and serves to protect the gearbox and drive components from overloads and jamming when the header operates on uneven surfaces or in contact with large obstacles.
The slip clutch operates in such a way that upon reaching a critical load, it begins to slip, allowing temporary relief of the drive and preventing damage to more expensive gearbox or auger components. Once the load decreases, the drive returns to normal operation.
